Batasan Hills’s Captain John “Jojo” M. Abad, together with the Sangguniang Kabataan aspirants who go by the team name CguradoNACO, provided basic needs for victims of two separate calamities on August 14, 2016 (Sunday).
Their first stop was at View River where 47 families became homeless due to the flood caused by the monsoon rains. The group distributed styro plates of rice and pork adobo funded by Liga ng mga Purok Leaders president, Mr. Wenky dela Rosa, as well as, bowls of horseradish noodle soup cooked by Loyalty P.I.P.O.L. Watch, Incorporated. Bottles of Amoxicillin antibiotic were also made available for sick children by Loyalty P.I.P.O.L. Watch, Inc.
The pool of helpers’ next destination was at Kalayaan C where 20 families got severely affected by a fire caused by faulty electrical wirings. Sets of mat, blanket and grocery bags from Quezon City (QC) Mayor Herbert Constantine “Bistek” M. Bautista were handed over. The sufferers were given pre-loved clothes, too. These shorts, shirts and blouses were donated by Capt. Abad and CguradoNACO themselves. Some were from Barangay Secretary Edwin P. Misolas who also supervised the preparation of food and the distribution of assistances.
