Teeth Restored in Weekly Dental Mission

15 out of the 170 patients underwent dental restoration in the weekly dental mission held at the Pangasinan Covered Court from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on August 7, 2016 (Sunday). A dental restoration or dental filling is a dental restorative material used to restore the function, integrity and morphology of missing tooth structure. The structural loss typically results from caries or external trauma.

This and many other services were catered for free by Unciano Colleges and General Hospital through the establishment’s College of Dentistry dean, Dr. Ariel Go, DMD and via the sponsorship of the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) under the chairmanship of Captain John “Jojo” M. Abad and Kagawad Edgar “Junjun” S. Macario, Jr. It is note-worthy to mention that Kgd. Macario’s wife who happens to be the coordinator of the project, Mrs. Rachel Anne “Mimi” dela Cruz Macario, is a graduate of the said school.

Among the prominent people in Batasan Hills who took part in the success of the outreach program were:

Kgd. Luisito “Tata” Z. Ludovica;

Kgd. Ernesto “Ernie” S. Custodio;

Kgd. Filomena “Luming” V. de Guzman;

Miss Charo Mangune (daughter and representative of Kgd. Charlie Mangune); and,

Mr. Wenky dela Rosa (president of Liga ng mga Purok Leaders).
