It was at 2:12 in the afternoon of May 16, 2016 (Monday) when the desk officer on duty received a phone call from Barangay Payatas to seek help from the Batasan Hills Fire Brigade. No second was wasted as Officer-in-charge (OIC) Arvin Dimzon, Firefighter Recorigor “Rigor” Cinco, Pump Operator Andy Jarilla, Driver Marcellano “Bobby” Olano and a handful of volunteers went aboard the fire truck.

Batasan Hills Fire Brigade was the third team to arrive in Mountainview, Barangay Payatas to assist in ceasing the blaze which was quick to increase from first to third alarm as the place of accident had nearby junk shops and dumpsite in the surroundings.

The combustion, which was reportedly under control at 2:58 PM, was completely put out three minutes after. Although four houses were affected by this emergence, no person was found to be hurt. Cause of fire remains undetermined at the time of writing.
