Honorable Ranulfo “Rannie” Z. Ludovica, 2nd District Councilor, and, Hon. John “Jojo” M. Abad, Batasan Hills Captain, were shown gratitude by some 200 residents of Northview 1 Subdivision who were present in the culminating activity in line with the celebration of the community’s patron saint, St. Joseph The Worker, in the evening of May 1, 2016 (Sunday) at the Northview Covered Basketball Court.
Coun. Ludovica and Capt. Abad were invited as guests-of-honor by the organizers, the St. Joseph The Worker Sub-Parish Pastoral Council (SJTW SPPC), for the Northview community wanted to express appreciation for the recent asphalting project of the government officials. Dubbed as “Pagpupugay at Pasasalamat kay San Jose sa Taon ng Eukaristiya at Pamilya” (Praises and Thanks to St. Joseph in the Year of the Eucharist and Family), the banquet started at 7:30 PM with audio visual presentations of the doxology and the Philippine National Anthem which were immediately followed by the welcome remarks delivered by the SJTW Coordinator, Attorney Rey Defensor.
Mrs. Marizen “Zen” V. Misolas, the wife of Barangay Secretary Edwin P. Misolas and Master of ceremonies, reminisced the activities which took place during the week-long solemn commemoration of SJTW’s feast. She also acknowledged the groups and individuals who, in one way or another, contributed to the success of the fiesta. To wit:
– Northview Homeowners’ Association, Incorporated (NHAI) under the presidency of Mrs. Rebecca “Becca” R. Tongson;
– Northview Lawn Tennis Association (NOLTA) under the presidency of Mr. Renato “Rene” Cabalagan;
– Pugad Lawin sa Northview (PLN) under the presidency of Mr. Albert Cumlat;
– 2nd District Congressman Winston “Winnie” T. Castelo and Coun. Precious Hipolito-Castelo;
– Coun. Ludovica;
– Capt. Abad;
– Mr. and Mrs. Mario Tongson;
– Mr. and Mrs. Alfredo Malabana;
– Mr. and Mrs. Efren Marasigan, 2015 hermanos;
– Engineer and Mrs. Martin Tunac, 2016 hermanos;
– street coordinators for the potluck system; and,
– SJTW servant workers.
Mrs. Tongson reported the accomplishments of the NHAI officers and board of directors for the first trimester of 2016. She also laid down some of their plans for the rest of the year.
Then, the audiences were awed by the inspirational message brought forth by Coun. Ludovica who earned the loudest round of applause when he mentioned of soon managing peace and order in the whole Quezon City.
The neighborhood is now specifically looking forward to Coun. Ludovica’s infrastructural and strategic plans to resolve the impending traffic and to prohibit any possible increase in crime rate caused by the continuous promotion of SM San Mateo.
The buffet table opened after the prayer before meals led by Mrs. Ma. Marcinette “Nette” M. Vitorio.
Dinner time was made special as Miss Jerica Castillo serenaded everybody while the latter’s eating and taking souvenir photos.
Slides depicting few of Coun. Ludovica’s projects were flashed on the projector screen during supper, too.
Other intermissions were dance numbers gracefully executed by the XYLs, the Zumba Peeps and the Zumba Buddies. 12 simple prizes were raffled off among the attendees.
Fr. Rodrigo “Roro” O. Vasquez, San Antonio De Padua Parish Priest, graced the event with his presence.
The gathering came to a close after 20 people participated in a parlor game and some couple of hours more of social dancing for all.
