Highlights of the Seminar
Arrival and registration of participants started at as early as 6:00 AM on October 21 (Friday).
Coffee was made available for everyone at 7:00 AM.
The assembly was called to order at 9:00 AM by a Ciudad Christhia Resort employee who conducted an orientation about the venue’s regulations and privileges.
A photo opportunity with Captain John “Jojo” M. Abad and his barangay council took place at 9:20 AM.
10 minutes after, the program proper kicked off with an opening prayer, led by Lupon Bienvenido “Benjie” Martin,
the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, conducted by Lupon Nora T. Lomibao and sung by Barangay Family Council (BFC) personnel Monalisa Q. Narciso,
and the opening remarks, delivered by Capt. Abad.
From 9:45 AM to 7:00 PM, topics of the seminar were discussed by Attorney Joven H. Evangelista, President of the Legal na Ayuda para sa mga Inaapi at Dukha, Inc. (LegalAID), and his associate by the name of Atty. Vanessa (aka Atty. Anette).
The seminar was actively participated by all 64 attendees – with remarkable work-related and legal clarifications brought up by Kagawads Edgar “Junjun” S. Macario and Charlie O. Mangune,
Barangay Public Safety Officers (BPSOs)
and members of the Lupon Tagapamayapa. Majority of the series of questions and concerns were raised by Barangay Secretary Edwin P. Misolas, overseer of the Lupon Tagapamayapa.
Morning snacks were served at 10:15. Lunch was ready at noon. Afternoon snacks were distributed at 3:30.
At 1:15 PM, videos entitled “Katok sa Pagbabago” and “Ilaw ng Tahanan” were flashed. Then, a dance video guided the participants to some dance steps as ice breaker.
Certificates of participation were awarded by Capt. Abad to the following:
the barangay council;
members of the Lupon Tagapamayapa;
Land and Housing Committee personnel; and,
cluster heads of the Liga ng mga Purok Leaders.
Fellowship followed shortly after dinner by the pool side.
Fellowship continued all throughout October 22 (Saturday).
