150 incoming Grade 1 pupils who reside in Area A-3, Sitio Talanay joyfully accepted a backpack, a plastic envelope, a pad paper, a notebook, a pencil, an eraser, a ruler, a box of crayons and a sharpener each at the Talanay A-3 Covered Court on May 25, 2016 (Wednesday) at 8:00 AM.
Dubbed as “Gamit Mo, Sagot Namin,” this distribution of school supplies was made possible through the sponsorship of Captain John “Jojo” M. Abad, his council and the Task Force on Youth Development (TFYD).
The two-hour event was absolutely meaty as the following verbalized words of encouragement and inspiration, not only to the children of the indigent families, but also to the struggling yet hopeful parents:
Kagawad Jhorwin D. Santos;
Kgd. Ernesto “Ernie” S. Custodio;
Kgd. Roberto “Bobby” B. Miras;
Miss Charo Mangune (who represented her father, Kgd. Charlie O. Mangune); and,
TFYD Angela S. Naco.
Spotted among the assisting team were: Kgd. Filomena “Luming” V. de Guzman, Barangay Secretary Edwin P. Misolas and Purok (Area) Leader Danilo Barrion. The program was emceed by Purok Leader Tess Nator.
