Kaisa Batasan (in union Batasan), also known as Loyalty P.I.P.O.L. Watch, Incorporated, gathers 40 motorcycle owners and/or riders on January 31, 2016 (Sunday) at 2:00 PM at the barangay hall. Majority of the participants are civilian riders who are residents of Batasan Hills.
Kaisa Batasan (in union Batasan), also known as Loyalty P.I.P.O.L. Watch, Incorporated, gathers 50 motorcycle owners and/or riders on January 24, 2016 (Sunday) at 1:00 PM at the barangay hall. Majority of the participants are either members of the Riders Integrated Movement of the Philippines (RIM Phils.) or are civilian riders who are residents of Batasan Hills.
Coca-Cola Philippines, through the close coordination of Kagawad Charlie O. Mangune, Transportation and Communication Committee co-chairperson, distributed 4,800 20-ounce bottles of Coke to the members of the Batasan Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (BATODA) on December 28, 2015 (Monday) from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the BATODA Terminal, IBP Road corner Commonwealth Avenue, Batasan Hills, Quezon City.
Kagawad Charlie O. Mangune, co-chairman of the Committee on Transportation and Communication, reiterated the duties and responsibilities of the barangay traffic enforcers (popularly addressed in Batasan Hills as ‘Tigers’) in a meeting held at the Batasan Tricycle Operators and Drivers’ Association (BATODA) office at almost 4:00 PM on December 9, 2015 (Wednesday).
Traffic Enforcers, more popularly known as ‘Tigers’ in Batasan Hills, receive safety signal vests and half shell helmets from Captain John “Jojo” M. Abad during the regular flag ceremonies on November 23, 2015 (Monday) at the Saret Covered Court.
Honda Philippines, Incorporated (HPI), in coordination with Kagawad Charlie O. Mangune, co-chairman of the Committee on Transportation and Communication, stayed at the 12 Feet Covered Court on Senatorial Street on November 21, 2015 (Saturday) from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM to introduce to some 100 members of the Batasan Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (BATODA) the recently launched, much improved and upgraded 2nd Generation TMX Supremo.
The seventh captain of Batasan Hills, Captain John “Jojo” M. Abad, reported to an audience of roughly 800 people at the Saret Covered Court on October 11, 2015 (Sunday) at 6:00 PM. It was the fourth time that Capt. Abad elaborated to the public the state of the barangay. The State of the Barangay Address (SOBA) is being conducted every six months in compliance with the Republic of the Philippines (RP) President Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” C. Aquino III’s “Daang Matuwid” (straight path) platform and in Capt. Abad’s advocacy for transparency and communication all throughout his administration.
As it is the traffic enforcers’ obligation to ensure that all traffic regulations are followed, they make it a point to instill discipline among motorists who violate the laws. Hence, they confiscate drivers’ IDs and issue tickets to violators for the latter to retrieve their licenses with corresponding monetary charges from the Department of Public and Order and Safety (DPOS) at the Quezon City (QC) Hall after attending a traffic safety management seminar.
The Batasan Hills traffic enforcers, also known as Tigers, drove their way to the streets of Areas A to C in Kalayaan to confiscate light vehicles like bicycles and pedicabs which obstructed traffic flows. The clearing operation was conducted from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on September 28, 2015 (Monday) under the supervision of Tigers’ Team Leader, Danilo “Tiger 1” Barrion.
