Josefina “Joy” Belmonte-Alimurung to Taipei for a three-day study tour from September 15 to 17, 2015 (Tuesday to Friday). Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, is a modern metropolis with Japanese colonial lanes, busy shopping streets and contemporary buildings.

“If people are too busy to bring themselves to COMELEC then let me bring COMELEC to them,” Captain John “Jojo” M. Abad says every time he sets satellite registration appointments with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC). His principle behind spending an ample budget for satellite registrations is for the residents of Batasan Hills to be able to exercise their right to vote in the national and local elections.
Captain John “Jojo” M. Abad showed the officers of Rotary Club of Batasan Hills (RCBH) how some of the usual operations of the barangay go on the latter’s courtesy visit to the barangay hall on August 11, 2015 (Tuesday).
The Barangay Council welcomes the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) as the latter launches POPCEN 2015 in Batasan Hills during a regular flag-raising ceremony on August 10, 2015 (Monday) at the Saret Covered Court. On Captain John “Jojo” M. Abad’s behalf, Kagawads Luisito “Tata” Z. Ludovica and Ernesto “Ernie” S. Custodio distribute starter kits comprised of registration forms, pens and umbrellas essential for the enumerators to perform their task.
“I was sort of expecting a birthday cake from Kapitan Jojo already that I didn’t bother to purchase one for myself anymore,” Tonilyn Aguilar laughingly said. Aguilar serves as Purok Leader at Hill Street, Area A, Sitio Talanay.
“Nakikita ko na kasi sa Facebook at napag-uusapan tuwing may meeting ang mga Purok Leaders na nagreregalo si Kap. Jojo ng cake sa mga Purok Leaders na may birthday,” (I have been seeing on Facebook and been hearing during Purok Leaders’ meetings that Capt. Jojo sends cakes to Purok Leaders who celebrate their birthday.) she lightly added.
