Captain John “Jojo” M. Abad takes the lead in removing all campaign materials, in and out of the common poster areas designated by law, as early as 6:00 AM on May 10, 2016 (Tuesday) – a day after the national and local elections in the Philippines. Dubbed as Operation Baklas (uproot), the clean-up drive happens along IBP Road in Batasan Hills.

Capt. Abad begins Operation Baklas at Batasan Hills National High School (BHNHS) with the help of Barangay Administrative Assistant Adonis O. Monahan and a number of Barangay Public Safety Officers (BPSO), Environmental Police, and Street Sweepers.

Still with Admin. Monahan, Capt. Abad heads across BHNHS to meet the cleaners in President Corazon C. Aquino Elementary School (PCCAES) – Kaagapay ng Batasan Hills (KBH) Cares, Incorporated, a community-based organization, under the chairmanship of Mr. Wencie F. Ferrera.

Lastly, Capt. Abad and Admin. Monahan proceed to the corner of Filinvest 1 and IBP Roads to clear the sidewalk from a broken tree. They are assisted by a handful of Traffic Enforcers.
